I keep getting a kick of how this thread re-emerges and gets a new set of posts like ever 3 to 6 months. I started this thread a LOOONG time ago. always good to know theres others out there respecting the 2stroke

 

even though a ride a 4 kroke, i have to admit i love the smell of the old 2 bangers.
and to the guy that said "2 strokes suck big ones noisy annoying and break all the time 4 stroke power can i get a hell yeah!!", what in the blue hell do you me by noisy? call me crazy, but i think a 4 stroke w/ aftermarket exhaust is louder than a 2 stroke. i like the sound of both.

 

i definatly like 2 stroke better. but im not saying i dont like 4 strokes either i would sign the petition tho.

 

i am 21, so im still pretty much a kid, but i love 2-strokes. i have only owned one 4-stroke, and it was a warrior (i only had it for about 2 weeks), i traded it for my '04 blaster. i had a '94 cr250 for a LONG time, on my last rebuild (with a crap load done to it) the engine lasted for over 2 years, and was still running perfect when i parted with it. 4-strokes just cost too much to work on, and me and my family are 2-stroke gurus. if bomb doesnt come out with a new style 2-stroke, i still have mine. no its not really fast, but i love the way it handles, and you cant beat that 2-stroke smell. i am the only one in the group i ride with that has a 2-stroke, i just hope people like me dont become a dying breed. its all in preference in the end, just as long as we all have a place to RIDE, thats the main thing!

hey I take offense to the comment about 2 strokes biegn noise, nothing like the purr of a wide open 2-stroke coming down the mnt side.....

Come on 4 is higher then 2 so you get more I get 4 strokes instead of 2, ya can't beat that with a stick!

if you mean what i think you mean, then you have no clue what you're talkin about. 2 strokes have a power stroke on every cycle of the piston. 4 strokes are every other cycle. look it up.

 

me i like both i have a banshee, 300ex(craked case), and a magnum 325 4x4. i love the speed and power of the shee but hate the lack of low end torque to help pull up the front but im still trying to get it up. thats the only reason i have to fix my 300ex or replace it with a bigger 4 stroke bike. both have advantages and disadvantages 4 strokes are great for low speeds riding like trails or for the utility quads. now 2 strokes are great 4 high rpms and anything were alot of power is needed with very little weight being added. i think every bike should be made with 2 motors one a 4 stroke the other a 2 stroke so u can choose.
