Anyone out there had this problem? My 1991 Warrior runs fine until the headlights are on, then skips and pops like crazy. Troubleshooting w/ repair manuals has not given me any answers. Hoping not to have to replace the stator assembly if this is something simple, like a bad connection. Can't figure out what the lights have to do w/ engine performance. Help!

 

sounds like you got a wire shorting out in the lite
