Default Warrior grease fittings hard to grease?

Every few rides I grease all the fittings on my warrior. A few weeks ago one of the grease fittings on my left a-arm stoped working smooth. I almost bent the grease gun trying to get grease into to it. Thinking the fitting itself may have gone bad, I swaped one from the other A-arm, but it didn't help. Has anyone seen this before? Would it be safe to take off the fitting and sprey some brake/engine cleaner in the bearing then regrease it? or would it be best to take off the A-arms and just repack all the bearings?
