1998 Yamaha Warrior Gear Shifting Issue
#1
I just bought a 1998 Warrior and was pressure washing it the other day. To prevent it from rolling it set the parking brake, but also shifted it into first. Upon shifting it into first, the shifter went downward considerably further than expected and is at about a 45 degree angle down. Also, it won't shift upward either to rectify it's location. I suspect I'll need to take it into the dealer to fix but was wondering if there is an easier/quicker fix that anyone os aware of.
Thanks for any help in advance!

Did the shifter slip on the spline? If not check the linkage to make sure everything is tight and still together...
.
..It sounds like something broke on the inside and will need to be taken to the stealer for repair...
