Hey Everyone.. I was wondering what would win in a race between the YFZ450 and the Predator500... And what is the top speed of both?

well i kno a pred will beat a raptor stock for stock but the yfz will probably beat it

 

Hey there whats up? I have a 05 yfz 450 with the white brothers race series pipe which is a lil bit better that the e2. I have web cams and a k and n filter. Rider has lots to do with it but i have smoked every predy that i have ever raced with no problem. At pismo beach in california i beat two every time with my girlfriend riding on the back with me.

Yeap Warriorboy, raptorider is right, Predators WILL not beat a Raptor stock for stock. And definately wont if they are both modded. Here are sotck for stock results by ATV Action in May's shootout.

Hillclimp Drag Race
Predator......9.03 sec
Raptor.........8.87 sec
Course: Approx. 75-yd. on steep, hardpack hillclimb

Long/Fast Course
Predator...........1:30.0
Raptor..............1:27.9
Course: Wide open, sweeping turns, 5th-gear straight, rollings hills, tight chicane, some minor whoops.

Short/Tight Course
Predator...........1:48.7
Raptor..............1:40.3
Course: Narrow, rocky canyon with steep sections and tight turns, 180-degree turn at top so course is ridden in both directions.

And as for the YFZ vs. the Pred. Predator has NO CHANCE. Even if the YFZ gets a bad start off. The low end on the YFZ and them manuverabilty and easy handling of it is too GREAT. The predator would get creamed.

 

why do people still post threads about which is better? the YFZ450 can walk over just about any quad made... even a stock vs stock YFZ and a banshee is very close race. from my experience the stock YFZ beats the banshee is a flat out drag....but then again.. both drivers sucked so... yea

 

for the record this guy at pismo this weekend had a "fully dragged pred." he said haulers pipe etc. the whole thing. ill give him one thing it was hella loud... but when we got up on the line about 5-6 times til i got bored i tore him up every time amongst other quads out there.. pred. weighs a lot more too i had one before my yfz and i know what they ran and how they performed...
