rider drag race skills
agree with everybody else here also gonna add try when your not on pavement stopping too much wheel spin. on my quadzilla if its slippery wet grass out and I dump the clutch in 2nd I can get beat by a stock warrior in an 8th mile. Too much power does nothing if you dont know how to use it.

If 2 machines are comparable in horsepower and speed, then it absolutely comes down to rider abilitly to get off the line with out standing it up and hit the shift points at the same time. Even a slower quad can beat a slightly faster one if the slower one has an experienced rider. This is even more true in other types of racing I would guess, as how many times has someone seen a 400ex beat faster quads on the MX track (just an example).

Ever heard of RT? And do you think you can just dump the clutch in 2nd on any bike and not stall out or bog? How about knowing how to get the gearing just perfect so you dont top out too fast and arent doggy out of the hole but have enough speed at the end of the timing lights to not be passed by a guy you wasted to the 60' mark?
Its pretty simple, anyone who doesnt realize or believe that there is any skill involved isnt involved in any real racing and has no business talking about any of it.

I TOLD YOU NICOLE!
See guys, she would ask me a question about 2 quads racing, and I would ask what mods are done to each one, and if they were matched, then the rider skills. and she would reply....
"god, you always say that, the rider has nothing to do with it"
So i told her to make this thread.
