How much truth is there to 2006 model being the last model for Banshee? Can we import 2007 models from other countries?

I've heard rumors that yamaha was going to stop making them for years. They haven't yet,but you never know.As bad as it would be,at least they made them for a long time.So finding parts should be easy for a long time.Even though the 250R and Quadzilla was produced for a few years you can still find parts for them. We're fortunate. You can order parts from different companies and build a banshee.

I wouldn't count out 2 strokes just yet guys. Maybe Yamaha has, but there is some pretty high-tech stuff coming from Rotax and Bombardier. For anyone that uses outboards or rides snowmobiles, Rotax 2-TEC engines are cleaner burning than comparable 4 strokes, with all the power of the 2 strokes before this line. Just look at the Summit 1000, it gets the same mileage as a standard 800, and is a MONSTER engine. With electronics the timing of the ports can be altered, eliminating the period that both intake and exhaust ports are open, making the only emission being the lubrication oil. To back up, these engines not only 2006 compliant but 2010 compliant!!! These machines are in production NOW, and they are not going away in the future. Just check out BRPs website or Rotax, and be enlightened. There are VERY persistent rumors of a BRP DS450 twin cylinder E-TEC 2-stroke for '06, this could be the biggest news to hit modern ATVs in recent history, considering the brain-washing of the industry of 4 stroke technology. Mark my words, we will see a BRAND NEW 2 stroke sport quad within a year... I can't wait.
