Has anyone had an experience were a 2wheeldrive racer went through more mud then a 4x4 setup for mudding? I got a few guys telling me they think a racer will go through more mud then my 02 grizzly660 with mudlites on it. Give me your oppinons.

it would seem it would be impossible to know without doing the experiment, but clearly the racing quad would be a lot lighter than a grizzly - heavy means more chance of sinking, and possible loss of speed.
quad speed upon entering the mud could be another factor.... among perhaps many others...

there dead wrong. next time you ride with them let them go through the mud hole first so they can pull you out. then, laugh as you motor by their useless machines.

My warrior made it through a pretty nice mud hole..One that my buddies honda 450 (all wheel drive) would not navigate through. Although he did not look like he just joined some sort of tribe. I had mud all over me. But thats what it is all about.

Horsecrap. There is a profound difference between a mud puddle and a mudhole. Brown water is one thing, actual mud is another. They will sink to their *** in it. Take them and make them prove it sometime.

It's all about momentum. If the sport machines can get a great run, and don't have to turn, they can skim pretty far across. That is their ONLY chance at beating a Grizz.

You can't be serious. Small sport tires, 5 inch ground clearance and 2x4 vs. big tires, 12" clearance, locking differencial 4x4...........?

yeah its not comparing a 2x4 truck to a 4x4 truck. Its comparing a 2x4 super modified buggy to a 4x4 truck. if they get a good run at somthing they may be able to skim across just as much as the 4x4 can power through. but Beat it, probably not.
