Toomey T-5's with the jet/needle/airfilter kit.

Their website www.toomey.com has alot of info, and they're e-mail tech responses are the same day. A Quality operation.

All after market pipes will make a huge difference in performance, and I believe are the single bigest gain of a bolt on product. Most all pipes are close in performance range, some better than others in specific area's. I looked at quite a few types before making my decision to get Pro Circuit pipes. I looked at Toomey's (the recognized leader) but didn't feel the $100.00 plus additional dollars they wanted for the chrome plated version was worth the possible (minimal) gain in horse power/performance. This is of course another 2 cents to throw into your hat!!

Here is my wifes 01 with the Toomey T5s:

Out on the Oregon dunes they really are considered the best, the only problem is trying to meet 93db with the silencers. We are actually running the Toomey pipes with FMF power core silencers.

I think both the FMF fattys and Toomeys are good pipes with the Toomeys having a much better finish if that is a concern for you.

Lots of choices out there, like everyone said its up to your riding preference.

Martin and grandpa,
What are you guys doing having your wives ride 'shees Shouldn't they be riding something like a 300ex or blaster? It must be nice having a woman who likes power between her legs
have a nice day.

Why not have a shee for your wife? That's what mine actually wanted, and now if I want to take a break from my KX500, I'll happily hop on the shee and rip around for a bit. Also now she is able to keep up and go everywhere we go (almost) she is not limited by the bike and is really becoming a better rider.

She has only looped it over twice
