Warrior question:hose running from crankcase to airbox lid....what's it for?
I recently pulled off the lid for the airbox and put a k+n filter with lid elimination kit on it. There is a tube that runs from the crankcase to the airbox lid. What's it for and can it be taken off?? if so what should be done with the nozzle that is there for the hose?? Thanks in advance guys

It's a breather hose for crankcase pressure/vaccum. There is a little amount of blowby from the piston that puts a little pressure in the motor, this allows that pressure and combustable fumes to be routed back to the air box to be recycled and burned with the air and fuel. Removing it will let dirt and moisture into the motor. To run without the hookup to the air box, put a breather filter on the end of the hose, and tie it up under the seat or tank out of the way, that way you can run withou the lid without worrying about engine contamination.
