raptor--spent hours reading and jetting...CANT GET IT RIGHT>>>HELP

alright, I am going to go get 160,165,170 mj today and will go home and see what happens.... I just wanted to add that the whole bogging down thing is in all gears....it runs terrible.. I really did like the idea about puting the lid on to see if it helps....thanks.....and one more thing, I want ot make sure the ("2.5 or 3 turs out") is the same thing im tuning, dows anyone have a pic or caould get the # in the manual so when i go look at mine i can make sure....o YEA>>>>>hey what about the needles>???? where should they be....?? any more help is always apprecated...thanks., and i will be back on latr tonight, take it easy

Evidently, by reading this and other sources, removing the lid on a Raptor makes one hell of a difference in the jetting...................[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]
I mean more so than your typical quad. I didn't think the Raptor airbox was so restrictive (other than that stupid snorkle).

HEY Guys!!!!anyhow didnt have to go get those bigger jets but my dad recommened that I call i guy he knows...he has done some work for us before......well long story short...he got my info and called me back with what he said would be my best bet. 150/155 ANd here is the big DIFFERENCE>>>>>>stock pilots back in...instead of the 25's. needles in stock position.....with air box lid off.....i fired it up and the first rev was good then it was bad.....so then i thought back to what "HONDA BUSTER" said....i just pushed the airbox back on and...WOW it worked, ran perfect....so then i trimmed it up the lid and put her on....WOW after hours I got it to work......
THANKS TO ALL>>>>im back in the game....1st gear is crazy..think ill change the front sprocket 1 tooth, to up my gearing....lil more top speed
