Default blaster vs 400ex

a kid down the street wants to race me after i get my motor ported in about 2 weeks. He has a 400ex with a yoshi pipe. When i get mine back it will have hwd pd3 porting with prophead mod, 8oz lightened flywheel, and a 35mm carb. I am also going to gear it up. Do i even stand a chance or will it be even.

im not sure the only way to really tell is on a dyno but ive ridden 400ex's and super modded blasters like with 240 kits in them and the 400 ex still felt like it was light speed compared to the blaster

It must have not been built right because a well built 240 should make anywhere between 40 and 50 hp. the guys at hwd said i should be making mid 30s with the porting and the rest of the mods.

Depends... Are you getting one of the nice red earthenware style pots or one of the cheap plastic ones?

OK OK I know everyone makes typos but getting your engine poted is FUNNY!
J/K 2stokescreamer!

I would think you will be a bit behind as well.

I used to give Blasters a rough time, but a guy at our track has dome some SERIOUS work on one and now has it running in the high 4's in 300ft! Not to bad for that small of an engine!
