i was going to get a raptor but went with the z, i don't think you can go wrong with either. i have not had the chance to ride a raptor so i cannot comment on it. all i know is that my z is geared really high stock and isn't that great for slow tight trail riding.

Well I own a raptor with lots of mods and I rode a kfx 400 (bone stock) not too long ago and was actually quite impressed with the suspension, way better than the stock raptor suspension from what i can rember, that was the first upgrade I made to the raptor. But I would not give up the power of the raptor for the kfx. The kfx was a fun quad BUT it is very slow, it was not even any competition in a drag race between a piped yfz 450 and my 11:1, ported, stage 2, piped raptor. You really need to ride both to make an informed decision.

I have rode them both and can say that they are both great quads. The raptors power is not even comparable to Z. Yes it is tippy and it loves to wheelie(nothing wrong with that in my book) but it is nothing a good rider cant handle. The Z does have better suspension is light and a blast to ride. If I were you I would ride both and see which feels better to you. You cant go wrong with either one.
