It looks like they relocated the battery also, seems to be right behind the tank, in front of the snorkel.

EFI = Electronic Fuel Injection

Just like your car. No more rejetting when u change pipes, air filter, alltitude...Plus no more choke. The thing just starts and gives you the best performance the whole time. Sure cost a little more money but in the near future they will all be EFI.

so who is gonna buy one once they hit dealer floors and brave the first year? none of us can really say much for performance. there haven't been any tests yet. but then again tests are alot of BS now a days. Dirtwheels made the kfx700 sound soooooo powerful before it came out. they had kory ellis saying how it "felt" like it out accelerated and had a higher top speed than the raptor. they also said it would change the atv industry forever. talk about overstatement. and atvscene and every other online and paper mag makes the KQ700 sound so bad *** and awesome, but all i hear from its real owners is how its underpowered and unreliablie mechanicly.

But as for this new raptor, ive got high hopes for it. I would really like to see how it is when it comes out. It cant be less powerful or worse handling than the pervious raptor can it? The way i see it, it can only exceed what the prior raptor had set.

i like the way yamaha did he new raptor. yamaha changed the frame geometry, yet still made it trail friendly. they kept the 9.2 compression because it lets the tires hook up on the trail without going all crazy, yet still giving it lots of power to go anywhere you want. plus with the efi you have so many more tuning options. you dont have to re-jet in the winter or at higher altitudes. all in all i think the 700 is a great machine and im going to get one when i get the money.

Abbreviation for Electronic Fuel Injection. This type of system uses computer-controlled fuel injectors to spray fuel into the engine rather than mechanically controlled injectors or a carburetor. Electronic fuel injection is considered to be superior to carburetion because it allows more precise fuel metering for easier starting, lower emissions, better fuel economy and performance.
