?? Im really eager to see how the efi responds to mods. I was thinking about getting another Banhsee, but Im starting to look at another Raptor now, Very interesting. Thumbs up for Yamaha.

 

I bet it's just as choked up as the current 660, bet this thing will respond awesomely to a pipe/airfilter and such.

I hope so anyhow cause I put a deposit down today for the 1st one my local dealer gets...and get this I'm getting it OTD for 7100...not bad considering MSRP is 6999.

just like the 660r couldnt beat it in a drag, they wont have another model out perform their top sport model... even the 05's will tear it up power to weight ratio is still better.. the raptor 700 was made for trails mainly if you setup to drag and stuff thats cool but yfz will win...

 

These yfz's are just unbeatable hey vinny? I was told by a 450 rider that the yfz does beat the raptor by a few quad lenghs of the hop but when both machines hit fifth the raptor goes by the yfz. Now I don't want to start a "big mine is faster than yours" argument here, I will find out for myself. I do expect my piped raptor to do fairly well against a stock yfz though.

 

the new raptor should be around 42hp stock. if the math is right.

 

oh yeah i like the raptor if i didnt get the yfz i would have got the raptor no questions when i went in it came down to what they had in stock andthey weren't going to get either one in at anytime and i am a blue fan so... but they say raptors pull in 5th but i dont see how it could catch up to it if your beating it so bad like 4-5quad lengths... but you should beat stock yfz's, but once you open them up and let the engine breathe is when they are unstoppable...

sooner or later yfz's will be Fuel injected then they will really kill the competition

The 660 has a higher topspeep than the YFZ and so will the 700, I also have a YFZ setup for MX, the Raptors gonna be for trails/rec riding.
