Default Barker pipes for raptor

Thinking of getting a set with the only concern being the pipes outside the frame burning my boots. Is this an issue or not, i ride mainly dunes and trails. I have yet to see these pipes except for photo's. Is the quality as good as my yoshi?

They are a dual exhaust system mainly for bigbores. If you search (barker) you can read about them and view some members photo's.

They are high quality pipes. They make the most HP of any and they aren't loud, more deep and throaty. A lot of folks get burned by them though, they are very close to your calves. They newer style has better heat shields, your boots should be fine. Craycraft Racing sells them in different colors, the black ceramic looks super trick.

The black ceramic pipes would suit my bike. Do they cost much more and will the coating be long lasting? I will probably get these pipes from Bob. By the way ubetrun how long did it take to polish that motor of yours?

I love mine. I have the newer version all stainless with the heat shields. I havent been burned but I never ride in shorts and mainly drag race.

I didn't polish my motor, I paid a guy with a lot more time than me:-)

Bob has some pictures of the black ceramic coating, it's super sharp. I've had other exhausts ceramic coated, it's very durable stuff that is a ton easier to keep looking nice than plain SS. As soon as the red VA clay/mud his the hot SS exhaust (Yoshi), it stained the metal. The only way to keep it looking good was to sand off the top layer of metal. With ceramic coating, the mud/dirt just hoses off.

LTE's are also a nice option for dual pipes.

I have been pleased with my Barker pipes. They do get hot on the leg though... I have a pair of blue jeans with a hole in them on one side from the pipe. Don't know if it would get hot enough to hurt a pair of boots or not though.

As far as performance goes I think you will be pleased.
