Modded Banshee vs Raptor in the dunes and drags1 I would like to get opinions of people who have been contemplating the dunability of the Raptor against a Bnashee. As we know the Banshhes's rules the dunes. Can the highly modded Raptor even match the Banshee (turbos, strokeers etc.). In this thread I don't care about handling or ridability, all I care about is racing from point A to Z. I know the Raptor is probably the best all around quad but who will win the highly modded hill shoots and sand drags?

Yes and no, You can always slap a turbo or whatever on anything. But ultimately we know there are 100+hp Banshees but we also know it is reasonable to expect 70HP maximum on a big bore 4 stroke if it is maximum tuned without turbo or nitrous. of course if you had the best of both worlds youd slap the 105 hp 680 alcohol turbo banshee into a Raptor frame and slap the 70HP Raptor into a Blaster frame.

You can turbo/EFI a banshee for about the same cost you can turbo/EFI a Raptor. Aside from this, less money will gain you more HP on the banshee.

my raptor sand opinion for what its worth is in the 250R-raptor thread (I own both). The fact is we don't know the what the capability's of a modified raptor are. Motor stuff is still being developed on dyno's.It will be several months before they really sort them out(you definately want to wait till they figure out what combo works best and is reliable). But as for stock raptors in the sand I only have modified 2-strokes and they still rule if you are a "adrenaline junky". If you want to make it up all the big hills and cruise comfortably without being the baddest guy on comp hill it is a fine machine.
