One of my freinds over here in australia has just ordered one. Is their much difference from stock besides nerfs, graphics and bumper. They say 4 weeks until delivery.

 

There is absolutely no difference. All it has is nerfs, bumper, and the red number plates. There is no difference in performance or the bike itself.

 

500 extra for nerfs and stickers save your money

I can't really see the point behind this Bill Balance special edition YFZ 450. I get the impression that it is aimed at the "racer crowd". But if that is the case then why put the #1 decals on it? I say that because if you are going to race your YFZ, the very first thing you are going to have to do to it is take the #1 decals off, and put your assigned (earned) racing numbers on in their place. So why pay extra for a "Bill Balance special edition YFZ" if the first thing you are going to do is un-do the special edition part. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

I think his main reason for the bill balance will be for resale value, personally I liked the yellow and black 05 model limited edition we have over here.

 

The yellow and black limited edition YFZ 450 is drop dead gorgeous, I'll give you that. I was so impressed with it that I bought one the same day I saw it. I also like the fact that it is an "anniversary edition" as well as a regular limited edition ATV. Yamaha made the yellow and black edition ATV (and motorcycle) to celebrate their 50th anniversary, and to remember the original Yamaha dirt bikes, which were yellow/black. I plan to purchase a yellow/black anniversary edition YZ450F when they are available in November, then I will have a matched set.

The yellow/black YFZ means something to me, whereas having someone else's number on my ATV doesn't. With only two races left to go in this years desert racing season I will in all likelihood have a #4 on my ATV next year, that I earned, and that means a lot more to me than someone else's #1, that I bought.

I can see the increased resale incentive though, ... that makes sense.

 

i wish i could buy something that expensive the first time i saw it. wow! personally i think the front bumper on the bill balance yfz is uhhhh...uh...ugly. yep. yay, it comes with nerfs. every atv should. especially one thats "MADE" for racing. other than the front bumper and the nerfs i dont see anything special about it. the graphics arent even cool and they are pointless. i dont really want a pro riders name on my quad. kinda reminds me of the Korri Ellis signiture ALBA pipe they have. thats great and all but i dont really want other peoples names all over my quad. i think i Korri Ellis yfz would have been cooler than a Bill ballance one tho. More MX ready.
