It's all about how you setup the shock. You can make it sit lower, or even sit higher than your stock shock. There are a lot of adjustments on these shocks that can make them ride great or horrible. My buddies aren't set right and when he hits whoops he can lose control very easy. Mine are setup pretty good, and I can hit whoops all day long.

I noticed a huge difference over stock, especially hitting jumps. They can be made to be really stiff. They are a little rougher ride, but you can adjust that as well.

Top screw is the compression adjustment: all the way out for the softest ride, and in more to help from bottoming out.

The bottom is the rebound adjustment: Controls how quicly is bounces back.

I'm not good with adjusting shocks so don't quote me, it's going to be trail and error. Go test them out and than fool around with them and test them again.
