Just won some yfz shocks for the raptor on ebay and need some help on the conversion. Did a search but found nothing in detail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

it is easy you need to grind off some of the metal on the lower a-arm shock mount and grind on the lower back side of the bottom shock mount to round it off for clearence. then they will go right in.

On the top mount, you will need to take like 1/8 inch off. Once you do that put the shock in there and see how it fits. Make sure it won't bind when your shock compresses. The bottom mount on the a-arm is shaped like a U, make it into two I I, just remove the back piece that is closer to your steering stem.

It's real easy, you will see exactly what you have to do as soon as you put that shock down there in place.

It makes a world of difference, you won't be disappointed.

Good luck,

Im trying to visualize and i think i understand. They should be here tomorrow. So i do not have to grind the shock just the top mounts on the frame and the bottom a-arms?

You got it, it's much easier than it sounds. Three beers and 45 mins (if you take your time) and you will be done.
