I WAS EXCITED ABOUT NEW 700..... but
Happarap you know how you mentioned the rev box the new raptor where there fuel injection they dont have rev boxes theres a computer that controls the redline so to increase the rev you have to buy a chip kinda like you would in a car and my dealer told me the chips will cost between 100 and 250dollars but that does more then just change the redline so it will probably be worth the money for the chips

If the chips run $250 or so, not too bad, I'd change them out, or have someone that knows what they're doing, but on the other hand, not too sure I need to shift out at 9000 or so, I don't drag race too much.

Once people start riding them and reporting on the thread, you'll start reading unbias reports

...i can see whats gonna happen now, people will get a pipe, a chip, and a k&n, and think their the fastest thing on 4 wheels(kinda like the import industry, minus the APC Euro taillights) I do think it will be quite the machine though, maybe it'll ditch the nic-name, craptor. But why SOHC, WHY?!?! but then again, all my small blocks have 1 cam, so maybe it won't be all that bad, right?

ya yall are all talking about its the same as the raptor 660 with a big bore i really dont think so you could just spend the money on the 700r and get like a 740 or 750 out of it and nothing will touch it!! i would rather spend the money on the 700 than the 660 if you ask me. But one thing does concern me is this is the first bike with fuel injection i will wait to see how everything pans out before i go sprinting to the dealer who knows the thing might be a piece of junk.

Exactly what I was asking myself!!! If they wanted to improve the Raptor, they should off ditch SOHC and go to DOHC. Now that would catch my attention, I could just imagine a 686 with double over head cams with fuel injection!
