Default Getting more speed from Wolverine

I was wondering what I would be able to do to my 99 Wolverine to get a little more speed from it. Right now everything is stock. Would a different jet help? I am not sure what size I currently have in it but it was the one from the factory. I have also heard of a "locker?" that takes it out of 4 wheel drive but cost about $250.00. How much would something like that help? I am trying to keep things simple as possible and as cheep as possible. (No boring the cyclinder or engine type machining)

Best thing would be to stick with the simple mods such as pipe, filter, and jet kit. The "Warn 4-2-4" or other unlockers are a good upgrade although the cheapest I have seen them for is about $220 on Ebay.

I hadn't thought of a pipe, but I know that I do use my quad for deer hunting and wouldn't want anything much louder that the stock pipe. Any ideas on a pipe that adds power but not noise? Plus, how much difference would a jet make and possible price for a jet?

The 4-2-4 locker would be an option but is expensive.

I've got an 05 Wolv. The first thing right out of the box I added a "Unlocker" 424. It made all the differance in the world as far as significant power increase. It's not going to suck your checks back and bring tears to your eye's, but you will go WOW. It'll make your rig handle more like a sport. Now you'll have the best of both worlds. Why the dam thing does'nt come stock that way beats the hell out of me.

I really like the idea of the locker but now if I can only get my wife to go along with it!

If you can run a wrench at all put it on yourself. It took me about 2 hours to do. It's was cake. Then you can say "Look honey I'm saving $ Money$". She'll like the way it handles too. Not so much of a wrestling match. If all else fails LIE. You got to have your priorities straight. Good Luck
