there usually on ebay for 6 or 7 hundred in decent shape. Just looking for a cheap step up from the blaster.

yea you can find pretty good deals on them, they are pretty nice quads, you can make those things move if you put time and money into them...

They are a good quad, and a nice step up from a Blaster if you want to stick with the 2 strokes. Personally, I would look into a newer 400 class sport quad first, although there is nothing wrong with a well maintained Qracer.

A step-up from a Blaster????????? Try about 10 steps up. That's apples to oranges. A Blaster won't hold a candle to an lt250r. I'm not saying the Suzuki is the best quad out there, it's not. But, to say it's a step up from the Blaster is an insult. It's a great quad for someone looking for compairable power & handling to Hondas 250r. Suspension- NO! The old Qracers are horribly suspended. But for the money that a guy can find one for, VS the Honda 250 it's a no brainer. Check my pics. for a nice old lt250r for less than $600 total invested.

how much faster is it than a blaster. i have been riding a yfz for a while and was wondering if it would be just as fast or equal. I was planning on piping and porting it.

A pipe and port would leave a blaster about 15 to 17 bike links back in a drag, but you'll need a lot more than that to run with a yfz

Read my post above. The lt250r will make a Blaster look silly. The Blaster wouldn't make it to 3rd gear before the 250 is out of sight. In the handling dept.--- same result. When you refer to a YFZ I assume you mean the 450??? The old Qracer would hang with it to a point, but the ride quality would be FAR superior on the YFZ.
