Blaster for daughter
Hey everyone, I was wondering if a new blaster would be ok for my 12 y/o daughter? She had a Kazuma 150 4 stroke which was fully automatic and it did ok in the dirt. But lacked power in the sand. My family likes to ride in the sand the most. She is a novice rider but I think she will be able to learn the clutch shift thing. I just dont want her to get hurt? Or do you recommend another bike for her? What do you think? By the way she is 85lbs.

Peronally i would say if shes dont know how to use the clutch yet i would say to get her a 250ex there semi auto and i think they would do pretty good in the sand my dad bought my mother one and i live on a lake and she rode it on the lake with about 6 inches of snow and it did really good thats what i would recomend. has reverse and they are pretty stable

YFZ660R, you are right, but a blaster is not right for his doughter, blasters are pretty quick, shes 12, and very light.. id put her on a 250ex i know how u feel about her getting hurt, and the semi auto clutch would let her focus more on the sand then on screwing up with shifting... hondas are big steps up from kazumas!

My daughter is 10 (about 65 pounds) and has been riding a Blaster at the dunes for about a year. The clutch was a little tricky for her at first, but after about a day of riding, she was doing really good. You can adjust the clutch to make it a little softer, so it's easier for her.
If you are concerned about it being too fast for her, Blasters have a throttle limiter screw that you can turn in to limit her speed.

ever think of a z250 for her as well...there suppost to be a step up from the 250ex and a step down from the blaster...once she gets use to the power and how to work the clutch on the blaster she is gonna love it...shes pretty light and thats good cuz the blasters are made for lighter people and beginner riders...the blasters are great bike for the dunes and sands...i dont think she will get hurt if she understands the concept how to ride quads and is aware of what she is doing...i personally think its better off she learns how to use the clutch and all...shell really enjoy the blaster too once she gets use to it..after a day of riding she wont want to get off...but the z250 is also a great quad too...let her sit on both and see which one she feels better on and like...dont forget the blasters are kick starts and have no reverse...which i dont know if she is gonna like...
