I have a 1996 Warrior, I am 6'6" tall and approximately 250 lbs. I beat the crap out of this quad and have had no MAJOR problems with it. I do have a problem with the footpegs. I jump this quad and they just can't take it. It isn't the actual peg part that bends, but the piece that the peg is welded to and bolts to the frame.

Has anyone else had this problem, if so, how did you fix it??

The shift linkage is also a problem, does anyone make an aftermarket shifter that bolts right onto the shift shaft??

Jason

A buddy of mine had the same problem with bending pegs.
His were bending because he removed the stock "half/nerfs" (or whatever they put on there)
The problem went away when he put them back on. They are mounted to the frame and the peg and give a good amount of extra support.

Take your footpegs off and straighten them. Then take them to a good welder and have them weld a 1" wide by at least 1/4" thick plate to the underside of each footpeg. Make sure the plate extends the entire length and to the mounting plate for reinforcement and weld it there also. Be careful that they leave enough room when they position the reinforcement to the mounting plate to reinstall the mounting bolts and for a socket to tighten the bolt. We have expierenced this on the Warrior & Wolverine we race in GNCC Cross Country and this was the only way to correct it. We have not bent a footpeg since doing the modification. This modification cost us $25.00 for the pair. Thats a lot cheaper than replacing the pegs.
