I thought their was some kind of law made atvs cant do over 80 stock?

 

no its not a law it was an agreement that suzuki,honda,kawasaki, and yamaha made, and i think it was they cant make a quad go 75+ out of the box, well thats what i heard somewhere

 

its really carb emissions that hold them back, not an agreement that the dealers made... Like for example i have a jetski called the 1100 zxi, its a 96' but it pretty much beats the new jet skis out because inn 96' they had little rules...

 

If what your saying is accurate then the top speed on the 700R is going to be up their cause its a 686 with fuel injection.

I was replying to paintball banshee cause he was talking about strict emissions on carbs limiting top speed. Well the 700R is fuel injected so their is no carb emissions you know?

Well carb emissions are probly a factor but politicians started getting envolved when people were killing themselves on bone stock quads that would go 86mph out of the box e.g. quadzilla so ... Yamaha, and all the others were more or less forced to quit making them so fast and to do that they reduced the carb emissions & what ever else to make them slower
