Loss of top speed from 90 - 50 k
2003 Kodiak 400cc ultramatic bone stock. the top speed of the machine when new was spedo burried at 90 kph without breakin a sweat now it tops at 50 kphs and sounds like its hittin rev limiter.
I have changed the belt to a new dayco which brought the speed up to 70 not to sure where to look or what to check any help would be great.
I have searched the forums and many others to no luck. I read that the primary slides in and out and the problem could be its not coming out all the way would or could that be due to sludge on the hamster cage. does this cage stop the primary from sliding all the way out? not to sure what else I could tell you the machine has been in water and my buddy's artic cat 2003 400 has the same problem?
