projectblaster.com offers a whole new top end piston and all for under $600 or you can spend a bit more like close to $1400 and get everything pipe, carb, new top end, piston, rings, gaskets, ect. http://www.vcatv.com/PBengine.htm

If you are serious about wanting power do yourself a favor and dont go with an "out of the box" 240 cylinder kit (aka HWD, Vitos). What you need to do is find a reputable builder and have your engine built for what you ride and have the power hit where you want it. A builder like this will have your intrests in mind and will not only build a powerfull motor but a reliable one.

Whatever you do, you'll need more carb on that Blaster. On the cheap, you can do what I did, porting & head mod by Eric Gorr @ Forward Motion (about $165), FMF pipe, 30MM flatslide carb from Trenga, reeds, air filter, that's about it. Our Blaster with those mods makes big horsepower, stays close to our piped Z400 without a lot of money spent. Kills other piped Blasters, just murders them. The bigger carb really wakes it up though, the stock 26 really chokes it.
