If I go advancing the timing, would I have to run race fuel. I'm trying to stay away from the race fuel aspect of things.

You can run the advance key without race fuel.

Does the advance key make a difference on the big end or all throughout the acceleration. Any is good. I can't find the post talking about it: Does the injector block off give more power or is it just added comfort for injector failure?

not possitive but i think i adds from the low end and mid range. but it might add power threw the low mid and top. and the block off doesnt add power it just takes out the oil injection so u have to mix the gas and oil. that way u dont have to worry about the injection missing up or something.

With the degree key you'll feel very noticeable midrange power increase. I never cold tell if it cost any power on the top end either. Ran a couple of em.

Be careful with the 240 cut, if your motor decides its time to blow up not much will be left of it =)

I know that there will be readers here that will call me a flat out lier, you do not need a 240 kit, stroker or bigger carb to get the power band punch out of the Blaster. We run a airsal cylinder (stock bore and stroke) with a mapped port job, we run a b1 Toomey pipe. On that we run the stock reed box with bouisen reeds and a spacer. With the Blaster motor you can get the punch with all the goodies but if you are racing it will eliminate you from the Blaster class. The Blaster motor needs the Labor of love, meaning the more time you spend in the engine case, cylinder, and head, porting polishing will get you nearly as much as the goodies. I mean no disrespect to anyone else but you can get ALOT out of these motors with the labor of love and someone that has a good grinder and 2 stroke knowledge.
