Im lookin too get some new maxxis i razr's amd was wondering how they hold up and hook up on the trails. I ride in some loose dirt and on loose leaves... i dont ride very much mud i just need a good solid tire that will hook up well in the loose sandy dirt and also still be good in trails on the packed dirt. Thanx for your input guys and if ya have any pics of a rear end shot or tire shot with the i razrs on then post em

Get the Razr IIs. They have extra tall ***** so they last longer. I have these tires and they are the best I have had on this bike. It is all I am buying from now on. They steer easy and hook up great.

The razr II's are 6 ply. They are heavier, but very tuff to pop.

i heard the razr 2's rubber is stiff so it doesnt hook up well at all in the loose dirt and how heavy are they??? heavy enough to really slow u down??

The rubber is still pretty soft, softer than stock tires. These tires are supposed to be a "light" six ply. They are heavier than a 4 ply, so they will slow you down a tish. But, they are indestructable. That's the tradeoff.

Mine are mounted on Beadlocks, so my wheels are heavy. In my case, I can feel the difference in weight and performance. But, I also ride on insaine rocky terrain and need the reliability.

You won't feel a difference if you mount them on stock wheels. \

Oh yeah, be advised that they run taller than other tires. A 20" is like a 21" dunlop. So, it messes with your final gear ratio. Gives more top speed, a little less torque.
