Does anybody know if advancing the timing on my warrior is a good idea? I am looking for more power and speed. Will this harm the motor in anyway? thank you for your time.

Don't mess with your timing on your Warrior. If you want to gain more speed and power get an exhaust, air filter, piston, cam, and 14 tooth countersprocket. Remember though with a 10.25 piston you have to run race or at least half pump gas and race gas.

Is that true about the race gas on a 10.25:1?
I thought it was 11:1 and over.

The race gas is a bunch of crock. I've had my piston in for a year now and ride on a 2 mile
moto-x course. It's a very fast track and I have only put 91 octane in it everytime. I have yet to have a problem. The plug looks great and the Quad runs great. Defenately don't advance your timing.
Invest in a cam, pipe, valve springs, piston, and air filter. You should be fine with that. (at least for a while)

I was told the race gas thing by Yamaha SpeedTech. They said if you don't your motor will ping and knock and that is bad. So don't argue with me.
