This is a bunch of Bush crap and half of you are brainwashed! Not as bad as other countrys...Baaaa... Well first of all they have been acustomed to those prices for a long time so they don't drive as far to work as alot of people in USA do...they walk....or car pool more. We are use to low low prices and everything is set that way. So you start raising prices super fast like they are now and things are soon to go out of wack. It has started. Walmart reporting losing profits due to people not spending as much. It will only get worse as all things WILL have to increase in price as everything must be trucked in and the difference will have to come from somewhere....US! Prices on everything will be going up soon...U can count on it. There is no reason for gas to be this high. It nots like there is a shortage of oil. Whos getting rich? The oil companies....They are reporting obscene profits!! Who is paying..US.... Plus other counties prices are going to be going up too.... I mean if they were paying $6.00 well once we reach $3.50 or $4.00 a gallon they will be pushing $8.00 or $9.00.... so it doesn't matter. Each country is adjusted to whatever prices were..Not what they will be. Prices are going up so everything will change. We need an alternative fuel but I feel even if they start now it will be to late. Its the beginning of they end people. Enjoy it while U can. 2012!!!

First of all, using 117 octane on a stock Warrior is a complete waste of money. And you're making less power than if you were running the 87 that's recommended.
In some good news:
After a morning surge, when prices rose 50 cents to $66.60 a barrel, U.S. crude oil futures fell $2.33 to $63.75 by 2:08 p.m. ET.
Gas stocks however are down a bit, but refineries are coming back online. Hopefully pump prices will start to edge down a little now.
Gas did follow crude some:
Gasoline prices followed, falling 6.26 cents to $1.921 after touching $2.029 earlier in the day.
Oil is not generally refined in the middle east. Most of it is shipped as crude oil on tankers to the US (mainly Luisianna and Texas) for refining and distribution.
My current local prices (Central California) range from $2.60 (at ARCO and Costco stations, and some independants) to over $2.80 at Chevron, Shell & Phillips Amaco (76). Diesel fuel prices are $3.20-3.50.
Aviation fuel (AvGas, not Jet A) is 100LL (low lead).
Coming into winter it's going to get tight for diesel fuel as production is switched to home heating oil. Though distilate stocks are up much more than was expected. FYI, distillates are Diesel (#1 & #2), home heating oil, karosene and Jet fuels. Locally we are having issues just getting #2 Diesel so our prices are a bit higher. Hopefully the price of #2 eases with the price of crude going down. It'd going to be a bad year for those who use heating oil. Especially the elderly.
Expect prices for everything to jump. Even WalMart is feeling the pinch.
