weighted fly wheel WTF
#1
i ordered a flywheel/magneto thingy and starter clutch off ebay and the magneto has a little short cube thing made of metal like welded to the outward edge of the magneto. is this what would be considered a weighted flywheel or is this a redneck excuse for a flywheel puller

I have only dealt with Banshee flywheels and what you are describing makes me think of the small square pieces on the outer edge of the flywheel. I believe there is 2 maybe 3 of them spaced evenly apart. I am not exactly sure what they do but I know they are where the pickup coil gets its power. As the flywheel spins, the squares make contact with the pickup coil and send power to the bike.
