MAJOR Carb Joint Bolt Problem.
Ok. This 4-wheeler is really starting to make me mad. Ok well I went riding couple weeks ago and my 4-wheeler kept cutting out after 1/2 throttle. Got back and started looking at it, My Carb joint was torn. So I went and took the carb off, cleaned it, Started to take the Carb joint off, and I got one of the bolts out, and one of em I couldnt get, So I went and got a 1/2 inch breaker bar and it wouldnt even budge and started to slip and strip. So I got the Oxy-actelyn torch and heated the block to expand the metal and then used the breaker bar, the bolt wouldnt budge. So I ended up using a stud remover around the bolt head after trying to twist it out with vice-grips and it wouldnt move, so I used a stud remover and the bolt broke. My problem is... HOW DO I GET THE BOLT OUT NOW! I think I literally sprayed a whole can of wd-40 over the 3 days I tried to get the bolt out. The bolt is broke just barely above being flush with the cylinder head. Any tips/ideas on how to get it out? I cant just get a new head because its been bore-ed. So I would have to get it re-bored and I dont even know if it would be worth it because I dont know the shape of the piston and I really dont want to take the whole engine apart to check. Its got a 366 JE racing Big bore kit in it. So I would have to check the bore, the piston, rings, and everything out to see if it would even be worth re-bore-ing it. Any tips on how to drill that bolt out? Im just gunna drill it out and use a tap and retap the whole to get the junk out of the threads.. Anything you guys can recommend to help? Thanks.
