Guess we need to get some riders together with a little ability to write and some $$$ and put a new "real" mag together.
I know its not easy but I dont think we could do any worse

Okay, I posted this in Yamie forum because its one of the most read and this deals with Yamaha product. Did anyone take a close look at the cover of the latest issue (or even a quick glance) of this month's 4WheelAction? Those idiots over there had in BIG print about the 450 Wolvie - ANOTHER IRS SPORT QUAD!!! Biggest fools in the industry. I could throw a low quality magazine like 4WA overnight I'm sure. Heck, these forums have better knowledge of quads. How stupid can you be? All of us here KNOW and love quads, much better than those do-it-for-the-money imbucels. Every month I find two or three mistakes.
4WA is written for preteens and teenagers, the way its put together with the headings - I understand that. But these guys are supposed to be experts - its a national magazine for f*&ksakes!!! And DirtWheels is no better. Funny how the oldest and most "respected" magazines are the worst now. So much corporate and sponsored BS - we are paying for a magazine that is nothing but an advertisment to the highest bidder. They lost all their good writers and editors about two years ago to the young, aggressive magazines, mags with some drive and integrity. Now these mags are tops in quality without a doubt (ATV mag, ATV rider, etc.), but I doubt they outsell the "biggie" Dirtwheels.
And Dirtwheels cover last month with the 700 Rappy - ridiculous with the highlights wrong all over the place.
As far as I'm concerned, they are living on their name, nothing else. I have almost every issue of these mags saved since I first started buying at 7 years old (around '84-'85). No more, this is the final straw... I'm done with those crap rags.

What really scares me with the mfg's today is that their trying to capitalize on the sport in a similar way the jet ski mfg's did in the ninties. By making their products require less skill and time to master by producing mostly auto tranny units with no clutch or gear shifter to be concerned with they open their products to be desired by a much larger amount of potential buyers. IT was the same thing with the sit down jet skis.
But just like the jet ski craze that padded the pockets of so many mfg's the atv popularity is bringing with it a ton of injuries and deaths, and just the same as before the majority are with inexperienced and younger riders.
The end result will unfortunately be similar also, but wait this was a thread about how damn suky the mags are
Guess I could also play it as how they find room for every little add they can disguissed as a test or whatever, but cant seem to find any space to actually help our sport.
Oh well I stopped renewing my subscriptions a while ago due to too many errors and flat out lies from everyone I switched too, and if anyone here knows of a good decent mag let me know cause I would like to see it.

I know this isnt the first thread talking about what idiots the mags can be, but it has given me the idea for a new thread where we can list all the errors and obvious misleading info etc.
