2000 Warrior Intermitant Spark??
Hello everyone...
I am new to this forum and have spent many hours searching for a solution to my problem with my 2000 warrior. There are many helpful solutions, but I am unable to find my specific problem. I have replaced the stator and the ignition coil, cap and plug. The big will pop start and run perfectly. However when I use the starter, I run into an intermitant spark, thus rendering th bike unable to start. I am tempted to think that the starter button is going bad but it engages the starter and turns over just fine. Can someone tell me if there is a way to test this theory or does anyone have any other suggestions. I have also just fully charged the battery and this renders the same problem as well. Thanks for any help..

Yea, i thought that may be a problem too, so I replaced it with a new and gapped plug. I forgot to mention earlier also, that if I push gently and play with the start button it will give the spark, but if just pushing normal, I get no spark, just the motor turning over.

that doesn't make much sense to me. i don't think the starter button has anything to do with the spark. if you want to bypass the button to test your idea anyways you can short out the 2 large terminals on the solenoid with heavy gauge wire or a wrench or something. that will basically connect the battery directly to the starter temporarily. maybe the problem could be that the battery is bad or needs charged, and it can't put out enough current to operate the cdi when it's loaded down by the starter.

i have a o3 and mine does the same thing. It started it when i when in the sand and now I have to play with it. You have to push back and fourth on the starter switch and hit the push button at the same time. I think that it might just need a new start switch.
