Default Dont work on chit when you tired....

So Spent 8 hours wrenchin on my craptor with another forum memeber on saturday and when it came time to swap the axle and put in the new bearings and seals, we'll just say that didnt go so well.. first the bearings was all ceased to the axle getting it out was its own trick. then trying to remover the bearing carrier from the swing arm didnt go so well.. removing bearings and cleaning it all up went pretty good. bearings pressed right back in.. Now here is the problem. in the bonehead moment of the night we pressed the seals up against the bearings. So here's the question. Do i have to pull the seals and put new ones in flush with the housing or will they still work ???

This is my Prof,Opinion: if the seals were installed to Hold a Oil type Lube then you would need to get new ones. But if there Holding in Grease then you can Reuse the seals IF you can pull them back very Carefully.

Once you try to pry them out, if you're not careful, you'll mess up the wire inside the seal, been there, done the same thing, I bought new ones and did it right the second time.

With the conditions you ride in, I'd change them out, that muddy water will get in the bearing and give you nothing but problems.
