Raptor wont run right

Default Raptor wont run right

sounds like a couple of things..One it may be to rich and loading up..Have u checked the valves on it? What does it sound like after it stops when u try to restart?

clean ur carb with an air compressor, blow out the jets but be careful

Default Raptor wont run right

Hey All,

Thanks for all of your advice. It was a huge help. I worked on the bike some Friday evening and Saturday.

You wont believe what the reason why it wouldn't start:
When I pulled the carb back out, and disconected the fuel line, no gas leaked out. Hmm?
There is something wrong with my gas valve. In the on position, no fuel. But in the reserve position, the gas flows. So for now I'm running it in the reserve position. It started right up!

I tested it out, and it was running good, but bogging down in the top end of the gears. I tweaked the mixture, removed the air lid and the bike is perfect now. I went riding Sunday, and what a difference. It is much more responsive, and the front end doesnt want to stay down.
