most of the gas stations here in atlanta are empty, at least on the east side where i live. there was a lot of price gouging going on before they ran out. The govenor put a cap on it yesterday at 5:45 pm. If people would not freakin panic everything would be ok.

What a crock of crap. When Bush took office gas was 1.80 per gallon nationwide, its now over 2x that amount. (I wont get into whether or not his administration had a hand in it, I'm just using it as a statistic to setup a timeline). Even before the hurricane we were paying around one and a half times the 2000 price. Has the gas price in canada doubled in the five years? How about Europe or Austrailia? I didnt think so. The United States has over 9 times more people in its borders than canada so I'm guessing buying in greater bulk and having more domestic production kind of helps out.

In OH it jumped $.50 yesterday to at least $3.09. some stations as high as $3.29. Rumor is its heading for $4.00 by next couple weeks. I wish Raptors were street legal, it would be slightly less than filling that monster tank on my Tahoe twice a week. I CALL FOR STREET LEGAL ATV'S NATIONWIDE.

Phoenix, AZ where I am living for the next year and a half is $3.61 today for regular at Costco, other gas stations are $3.99... I cant wait till i go home this weekend and finally get to use some of that E85 fuel (85%ethanol, 15% gasoline) its still only $1.85 in Vegas but you have to have a vehicle that can run with it... Supposidly its 105 octane, so im thinkin about tryin it in my YFZ, considering the 100 octane racing fuel is almost $5.25 now I think...

I work in commodities every day, the formula is quite simple. We've restrained the supply, the demand has increased, the price has risen.
