Is this a good idea?

Anyway...I finally got my tuition reinbursment that i've been waiting for for over a year! After taking care of some bills, I am thinking about getting a couple parts for the 660... I was thinking full exhaust, probably HMF, and I've got a pro flow kit that i haven't put on yet. Also, I've been reading about the Edelbrock single carb for the Raptor and would like to get that when i get the exhaust. I only ride trails that are fairly tight, like 1-3 gear with a good full speed shot down the gravel road to get there, so I am mostly interest in low and midrange power. Is this a good combo for that kind of riding? I like the Edelbrock since it takes care of messing with jets and I would much rather fight with adjusting that then taking it completely apart and changing jets a couple times. Any input??

Good point, I would say thats my motto! I guess I just don't want to spend almost $900 on those things if it would just be a better idea to pipe it and jet the stock carbs. I suck at jetting by the way

Id say that would be some good gains for the low to mid range. I have the edel on my warrior and the throttle response is awesome. I think(well...know) that you would absolutely be impressed with the edelbrock. As far as pipe I dont know how they perfprm for the raptors but I know hmf is a good one for the warrior. Good luck
