i just got to participate in an local town parade. they invited atvs to ride and i decided to go for fun. utility quads mostly. a dvx 400, my blaster, kfx 80, a clown on an atc50 with a wheelie bar, and a bunch of dirtbikes. i was the only one that wore full gear (besides boots). i thought a helmet at least would be required but there were a bunch of people without them. maybe its cuz this is a small town. what shocked me was a man on a sportsman 700 that showed up with a kid on the back. both without helmets. in the parking lot before the parade started he was doing....attempting... wheelies with the kid on the back. he was doing bicycles too with the kid on it. i saw him almost lose it once. kinda scary. some kid on an xr50 tried to do a wheelie and lost it and got all scraped up (no gear). once the parade started we all were going like 1-3 mph behind some jeep. they didnt mind if we did wheelies and stuff so that was pretty cool. no room to do any long ones tho. it was hard to go so slow tho. pulling in the clutch all the time to stop and slow. however, we had to seperate the rest of the parade after it was over and we all broke look at got to speed all around town while everyone was at the parade. that was awesome. sliding the rear end around corners was fun too. i didnt know if it would slide on the pavement but it did somewhat. ive never riden on pavement like that before. we were going about 45-50 down 20 and 30 mph roads. its nice to live in a small town where the cops dont care during these events. they just wave. now if it was sometime else it would be totally different. we made it back to the school where we started and i rode home. does anyone ever wanna just go ride all around a town or city streets with a bunch of friends on dirtbikes. just go anywhere. i wish it was legal here. i love the scene in huevos 7 in the dominican republic when they ride all aroudn on the streets. that would be so fun. well just thought i would share this with whoever cares to even read all that. lol...

 

ya i live in a twon like that we have a parade every year for flag day and everyone brings their quads and golf carts. mostly golf carts tho. but years before we were could to ride around townlike it was nothing then this year me and my friends were riding around and like this fire guy was following us and like pulled us over and told us we couldnt ride and stuff and he said he was going to forward to the cops if we didnt go home and everybody that i ride with were like wtf.
