well ya'll.... i got a 2001 warrior 350 today for free.... the only catch is it was flipped in the mud..... we pulled the motor and both the intake and the exaust either filled with water or mud..... now... my question/concern is..... is it safe to go ahead and rebuild the motor.... or should i just get a motor from say ebay? also.... there is something funny with the clutch ... it is extremly hard to pull in (at the handle... don't exactly know what to call that little thing) is there a way to adjust that? thanks

If you rebuild it right and make sure all the damage done by the mud/water is repaired you should be just fine rebuilding it. If the clutch is hard to pull in I would start first with making sure the cable is lubed and in good condition before taking the clutch itself apart - I think it's more likely to have a problem with the cable, especially after being upside down in water - which could cause all kinds of problems with the cable getting gunked up and corroded

i would just go ahead and rebuild it, how does the piston look? take some pics if u can and post them up. im sure ppl will get a better idea with pics. if its an 01, the clutch cable probably needs to be replaced. but u can adjust it where the cable goes into the lever. theres a small disc with a slot in it, loosen that out to about halfway so u have enough room for adj., then turn the part where that disc is threaded onto. turning it in loosens the cable, turning it out tightens it out. i would go out and buy a cable lubing tool so u can lube it up when it gets hard to pull.
