I will agree that replacing the clutch is a pain, you have to drain the coolant, oil and remove what is almost half the motor, I changed out the clutch because I smoked the stock clutch, mainly due to third gear starts, this was the first clutch I have ever changed, the factory service manual which is a must have. The whole process wasnt that bad and took me less than two hours. I think that if it wasnt for my abusive starts the stock clutch would work fine and yes I would reccommend leaving your stock clutch alone, although when it comes time to replace the clutch I would reccommend going with the heavier clutch springs, I dont notice any extra clutch pull with them.

If you look in the Febuary issue of dirtwheels that just came out Trinity has a two page add that has a dyno chart that compares stock vs the 734 on their dyno. They show a 27hp increase, the 734 graph they show is from my dyno run on 11/8/05

GEEZ. Is 27 horse at peak, or is it found more in the mid range? THat's nuts. If that is peak, that is rediculous. I am not sure what percentage increase that is but its huge!

Wow. I just answered my own question, and it looks to me like its all low and mid range, with just a little more on top. That thing probably pulls freaken HARD!

Yes it is 27 peak, the dyno chart I have linked is my bike comparing two different exhausts and efi controllers, you would have to look in the new dirtwheels magazine to see the comparison from stock to 734.

Thanks for the reply . Now Quit talking about that dyno chart I cant take it anymore, and I dont want to **** off my new wife ,by taking her 700 and bolting my parts on it. I could hear me now, But look here baby mine is as nice as yours, and you know I just got and extended warrenty on it.
Anyways here I be with nothing to ride a month and a half later. My bike is still in the Shop @ Temecula Motorsports and there getting ready for engine tear down #3. I'M not going to deal with them much more, so I called consumer affairs mybe they can lite a fire under there asses.

I am very pleased with mine. I put an HMF slip-on exhaust, trinity efi controller, trinity proflow airfilter setup, GPR steering stabilizer, ac nerfs, maxxis razr rear tires, and yfz 450 front shocks. As a former banshee owner I know that I would never trade my 700r for a banshee. I put on the razr because it felt like when I would go through a turn and get sideways I would lose a tone of forward bite. If antbody else feels this way a good set of rear meets will remedy the problem.

The dealer got me bike back together today, this time they changed out the valve guide seals and guess what? Same problem different day! This is the 3rd time they have had it apart. The factory Yamaha Rep. is now going to the dealer, in what capacity I'm not exactly sure. I called Yamaha 2 days ago and told them to give me a new one, that I didnt want this peice sh ttttt anymore after it's been worked on so much and its been in the shop 6 weeks out of the 8 weeks I've owned It. I'll keep everyone posted!
