Snow Plow?

Did I mention it's a 475' driveway I have to plow?
That's a lot of gravel to rake.

Every summer I have a choir of raking up all the gravel in my grass

Better hope none of your buddies gets the 800 bomb. Then you'll all be in trouble. I have never had my cable or winch ice up in the winter. Do you maybe store it in a heated garage? That might make the snow melt when it gets on the cable and freeze up.

Re: Gravel in your lawn:
I have tried packing the driveway with the vehicle, and dragging used tires to build a layer of snow above the gravel. Sometimes it works, but most of the time you still pick up bits of gravel.
Here's the best solution I have found to pick gravel out of your grass:
In the springtime, before the frost is out of the ground but after the snow is melted, use the quad and blade to scrape the gravel out and push it back on your driveway. Because there is still frost in the ground you can't hurt the grass, and, if anything, have found that it could use more weight or downpressure on the blade.
I have been doing this for a few seasons and it saves a TON of work with the rake. The closer your snowpiles are to the driveway the better. It is so simple you'll be wishing you had thought of it sooner!

Have a look at my photo icon; there is a pic of my plow on my old Grizzly. It's a Moose 60" with center mounted A-frame. I would guess that it weighs a hundred pounds or better. Even with the skid shoes pulled all the way up, it still glides over frozen ground without digging in. In some spots I got a little rough on the grass but you can't tell after the grass greens up.
There is something about this quad/blade combination that makes it perfectly balanced. A few years ago I tried using a 350 Big Bear with a 48" Yamaha blade mounted to the front skid plate that was frustrating to plow with. It would dig in at random and was generally hard to control the quad. This Grizzly makes plowing snow fun.
I have to add also to anyone shopping for a snowplow, that if you run larger tires for snowplowing, the plow may connect with the tires when its' angled all the way to one side. I fixed this by cutting the A-frame and extending it 4 inches, putting the blade further ahead of the machine. Now, I can also see the blade and what is happening in front alot better.

There are no instructions with the rollerfairlead. Do I take off the winch saver and replace it with this?

I have a set for sale, but the mount I have is for a Yamaha Wolverine.
