Right now I am completly rebuilding my carbs, and I went with bob craycraft' s suggestion on thejets. The motor is a 686 with 12.5 to 1 compression, 1 mm oversized valves, ported and polished head, stage 2 hot cams, T4 pro circuit exhaust, and no air lid. The mains are 190 and 195 and the pilots are 27.5 these are also mikuni sizes. I also have a 200 jet if I need it, but bob said I probably wouldn't unless I got a power bomb exhaust. My question is how far out should I go on my mixture screws, and what slot should I put the clip on on the needles. My elevation is about 400 ft. any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

With that kind of jetting you should be using the stock needles at the third clip. Left carb 2 turns out and the right 2 1/4 turns out.
