Raptor Top Speed
#13
The only way a Raptor which has very few parts out for it yet will go 89MPH is if it is on the bottle (Nitrous). Trust me , I love drag racing and at this point in the development phase the Raptor is to new. But, I still feel the Banshee is the ultimate drag monster.

I hit 70 mph avg. on a two way run on a dirt road with a 12 tooth sprocket. The SA was out and air box extension off and I had rejetted. I am also at 4000 ft. That works out to approx. 7400 rpm. So at sea level, running the 13 tooth front and the SA out and air box extension off, I think 77mph (7500 rpm) sounds reasonable. If you go back and look at some of the dyno charts showing up, the power is falling off fast at 6500 rpm. With a red line of 9000 rpm, Raptor owners still have 1500 rpm to work with over the 77mph and 7500 rpm. Add big carbs and big cams and these things are going to be pretty fast for a quad.
I'm curious as to how fast on the top end (and how many RPMs it will pull) the DS650 is, with it's rev limiter out and similar gearing to the Raptors 13/40. How about it ScoobyDFW?
