I put in last winter a 2002 tranny from Ripper racing.It was one that was put all together and ready to put in.Every thing went in really easy and worked great.Then last past weekend we lost 5th gear.When you put in 5th it fealt like it was missing teeth.Took the motor out and a part and the teeth are fine.Did see where the 2nd pinion gear had some rounding on the cogges a little.It looks like it just does not slide all the way in to the 5th gear.The fork did has some rub marks on it also.What do I look for that could be keeping it from engageing all the way?

Rounded cogges and a worn or bent fork will do that.
