I just bought a 96 blaster for 200.00. I don't know the past about the bike, other than it has a brand new piston/rings(wiseco), DG pipe, nerf bars. The bike is in real good shape. The problem is when I kick the bike it (Didn't run it because Im not sure), it sounds like there is metal on metal or like a rough sound that is coming from the crankcase. I can't fiqure out what side it is coming from. I did take off the top end and everything is in right(The piston/rings are literally brand new). A few people told me to check the clutch and main bearings, so I might take the clutch apart seeing how there is a new clutch cable on the bike. Im not sure how to check and tell if the main bearings are bad or how to replace them. If you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.
