i seen one at the dealer yesterday,,,it is a nice looking bike in person, but looks aint everything, and if what you all are saying is true, its not going to be a consideration
i was thinking on getting a sport bike this spring, after i get finished big foot'n the Grizz out,but then figured i'd be better off here in Wv with a sport utility, and the Wolvy was a option, but i think i'm gonna go with the scrambler 500HO,,,my best friends ole lady has one,and i've riddin it on a few occassions, and really like that bike,,,,it would only need a few minor upgrades, and it would be awsome

i agree with the weight, not so much the tranny though,,,,,the motor would be fine too if they had just geared the bike differant
a sport utility isnt suppose to have low end torque to pull a tree out,,,its suppose to be a bike that has 4x4 capability, handling, and some speed,IMO
and like i said,it looks pretty sweet

Well all I have to say about the new Wolvy, it's a nice 4-wheeler. I do agree to there needs to be some weight shaved from it, but other then that I like it, the way it handles and the sporty fill it has. My wife loves this machine a has threaten to cut my junk off if I do anything to it. I owed a 98 Wolverine and liked it a lot better.
So keep complaining and Yamaha will listen. I have seen a large amount of post on here and different web sites, what owners wanted to see changed. So don't think nobody from Yamaha listened. Just be happy that Yamaha made some changes, you never know it will probably last as long as the 660 Raptor.
Certain guys wanted a push button selector switch for 4WD and you got it, bigger engine, you got it, sporty fill, take a guess you got it, better shifting or automatic transmission, you got a auto, and for the final thing some people wanted to see was a liquid cooled engine.
Maybe this week-end at the Ironman GNCC race the will make a special announcement.....
Cypress, CA (10/17/05) - In honor of its 50th anniversary, Yamaha Motor Company is inviting ATV race fans to visit authorized Yamaha dealers in the Indianapolis, Indiana area to receive a voucher for free admission (while supplies last) to the Ironman GNCC race to be held October 22-23, 2005 in Crawfordsville, Indiana. In addition to what promises to be excellent racing, Yamaha will be at the event to showcase some of their 2006 product line and perhaps even have a special surprise to share with those in attendance.Text
