Default TECH QUESTIONS NEED HELP FAST

WOW!!!!!!!!!! just got off the phone with our local yamaha service department and they said they run a STOCK 230 jet with changing an alltitude of 2584ft. As soon as I told him I have a blaster he started treating me like trash. And also like I was 10 and didnt know wtf I was talking about. I do believe thats the last time we ever go there again.

No offence but that didn't say anthing about how much to change jets while changing elevation. I'm not saying that the information you said before is wrong, but I just want to be 100% sure before I do anything.

Did you not see this in the article?

THE WEATHER - Weather and altitude definately is a factor to consider during fine tuning. The factors that will require you to go leaner are, higher altitude (changes of 1000 ft. or more), higher temperatures (changes of 6C or more), and higher humidity (changes of 20% or more).

Here's a correction chart that can get you close also. Correction Chart There are others on the net that you could use.

To be 100% possitive that you need to rejet you'll need to know the air density, (pressure, temp and humidity) If your 100% sure your jetted perfectly right now you can figure out the correction factor with a chart like the one in the article.

What more do you want someone to tell you? Geeesh!
